GA Drilling is seeking skilled professionals for two key roles - Product Center Engineering Manager and Project Manager - to lead the expanding R&D operations in Brazil. These positions are central to driving innovation and developing cutting-edge drilling technologies and tools. Key Responsibilities

1. Project and Product Delivery

  • Lead the R&D process for delivering GA Drilling’s advanced technologies to meet project and customer requirements
  • Develop and manage R&D project plans, ensuring alignment with budgets, timelines, and technical specifications
  • Collaborate with global teams to ensure technical and commercial objectives are achieved

2. Team Leadership and Infrastructure Development

  • Establish and manage a world-class Product Engineering Center focused on R&D, including office spaces, workshops, and supplier networks
  • Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of engineers and technical experts dedicated to R&D
  • Foster a culture of technical excellence, creativity, and innovation

3. Innovation and Technical Excellence

  • Drive the development of new products through analysis, simulations, 3D design, prototyping, and testing
  • Implement robust systems, tools, and processes that enhance team efficiency and technical performance
  • Represent GA Drilling at industry conferences, showcasing R&D advancements to peers and stakeholders

4. Risk and Compliance Management

  • Ensure compliance with HSEQ standards and manage risks associated with R&D projects
  • Promote a proactive safety culture across all R&D activities

Qualifications

  • Master’s or PhD in a relevant engineering discipline

Experience

  • 5+ years managing technical and R&D projects, with a focus on systems design, product development, and engineering analysis
  • Significant experience building and leading multidisciplinary R&D teams
  • Familiarity with high-reliability systems design, preferably in oil and gas or adjacent industries
  • Strong background in new product development, including 3D design, analysis, prototyping, and testing
  • Proven ability to execute complex R&D projects independently
  • Effective leadership and communication skills in international, multicultural settings

Languages

  • English - C1 (must have)
